Oh, this is so timely! I’ve been doing research about the history of diabetes but I just couldn’t find the information need until I found this site. Diabetes is the number one disease I am avoiding. That is why as early as now, I am already avoiding sweets. But I realized, it’s not enough that I’m eating the right thing. My mom is a diabetic. We just found out recently about her illness. After reading this post, I realized that it is highly important that she knows about the background of diabetes—her newly acquired disease. She may not be able to completely cure what she has now, but I’m sure, with proper knowledge on the illness, she’ll be able to prevent diabetes from worsening.
